Future U Informational & Enrollment Session
Future U uses federal grants to assist with educational and career goals. This might include completing a GED, enrolling in an occupational training program, internship, or occupational certificate. We also provide resources and support on career exploration, job search, or career readiness skill development including transportation assistance, supplies, tools, equipment, and more!
To be eligible, young adults ages 16-24 must be out of school AND also meet one of these eligibility characteristics:
- Seeking GED
- Justice Involved
- Foster care history
- Pregnant/Parenting
- Disability – can include ADHD, anxiety, depression, mental health, learning/cognitive disability, physical impairment, or chronic health condition
- Insecure housing/homeless
Growth Mindset (Virtual)
In this workshop we will discuss the concept behind Carol Dweck’s research, explore ways to respond to everyday challenges and demands using a growth mindset lens, and provide language to help reshape the way we speak and think.

Disrupting Ageism (In Person) @ Centennial
In this workshop, participants learn to recognize ageism and develop strategies to counter ageist stereotypes in the job search process. Participants will identify ageist self-talk, and develop career-enhancing skills that communicate self-confidence, value teamwork, and support collaboration across age groups.
Job Seekers Networking Session (In Person) @ Centennial
Attend a session of the Job Seekers Network where you can connect with fellow job seekers to share valuable advice, career opportunities, and connections.
Young Adult Summer Job Hunt Boot Camp
Arapahoe/Douglas Works! is presenting a no-cost Summer Job Hunt Boot Camp designed for young adults aged 14-18. This comprehensive event will equip young adults with the knowledge and tools to succeed in finding a summer job to support their goals, and succeed in future job searches. Topics include career exploration, etiquette & self-advocacy in the workplace, interviewing, resume building, labor market information, and career pathway planning.
