Big News for Colorado’s Clean Energy Workforce!

August 5, 2025

The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) approved a $5.2M contract with Arapahoe/Douglas Works! to lead the development of five Green Workforce Hubs focused on building decarbonization trades like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.

In partnership with workforce centers across Adams, Boulder, Denver, and Jefferson Counties, these hubs will connect job seekers from nine counties to career coaching, training, and supports like childcare and transportation stipends.

$1.2 million was specifically allocated to Arapahoe/Douglas Works!

The goal is to train and place 3,800 new workers in high-demand, high-quality jobs by 2029—building a stronger, greener economy for all.
